Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce that Kane Dewhurst has joined the Tennis Victoria Board.
Kane joins the Tennis Victoria Board as an appointed Director, with valuable knowledge in strategic planning, coaching, Tennis facility management and team development. Kane will serve as an appointed Director until the conclusion of the 2023 Annual General Meeting.
Kane has been involved with Tennis for all of his life, throughout both Regional Victoria and Metropolitan Melbourne. Kane achieved a World ATP ranking at the age of 18 before transitioning into coaching and becoming a director at Vida tennis in 2002. Kane’s role at Vida Tennis in strategic planning, team development and operational management saw the business grow from one elite player development program through to 25 tennis in schools’ programs at both Primary and Secondary Schools as well as building multiple business units under the brand including Vida Footy, Vida Mind and Vida Fitness.
Kane joined Tennis Australia’s Coach Education team in 2013, speaking in multiple Grand Slam Coaches conferences and presenting to Member Associations on growing the game of Tennis, growing business and retention.
Kane is looking forward to bringing his Tennis industry knowledge and experience with driving strategic plans, to the board; “I am passionate about sport and being a relationship person, I believe that values drive culture and that’s why I’m excited to join an organisation that has strength in both of these areas.”
The Tennis Victoria Board and Staff welcome Kane to the team.
Kane’s appointment follows an expression of interest process and interviewing of candidates by Tennis Victoria’s Nominations Committee. Tennis Victoria thanks all individuals who expressed an interest in the role.
