Robert Hughes has been recognised for his involvement with Tennis Seniors Victoria over many years with a Highly Commended Service Award.
Robert has been Tournament Manager for all Victorian ITF tournaments including the Tennis Seniors Victoria (TSV) Claycourt Championships (Queen’s Birthday), the Yarrawonga TSV Grasscourt Championships and the November TSV Championships at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club. So it was fitting that Tennis Victoria Club Development Officer Sam Condon was on hand at the Greater Geelong Oceania Regional Seniors Tennis Championships at Geelong Lawn Tennis Club to present Robert with this award in front of the players he knows so well.
Robert is the longest serving member on the TSV Committee and has held the position of Treasurer since 2009. He has worked tirelessly to raise the profile of Seniors Tennis. Robert’s contribution to tennis has benefited numerous Victorian Tennis players and the value is almost immeasurable. TSV wouldn’t be able to provide many of the services currently offered to members without Robert’s input and experience.
Congratulations Robert and thank you for everything you do for Tennis Seniors Victoria and tennis everywhere!
