Dear Victorian Tennis Community,
Welcome to the June Edition of the Tennis Victoria News.
I hope you are keeping safe as we make it through the latest outbreak in Victoria.
If you need to check the up to date information around guidelines for Victoria as they relate to Tennis, please visit: https://www.tennis.com.au/vic/news-and-events/latest-covid-updates-for-victoria or the COVID Toolkit available on our website.
Following the latest outbreak and the extension of the latest lockdown period for Metropolitan Melbourne, Tennis Victoria has made the decision to switch to an online Community Tennis Forum for the announcement of the new Tennis Victoria Strategy for Tuesday June 29 at 7pm.
Please register your online attendance for the forum by clicking here.
On to more positive stories!
It was great to see some Victorian tennis facilities recognised as part of receiving the Victorian Government’s Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus Program. Congratulations to the facilities that received funding and thank you to the local government authorities for your ongoing support of Tennis in your communities.
It’s always great seeing new people play this great game. A great example of this was a new partnership between Kew Tennis Club and Andale School earlier this month. If your club is ever wanting to make connections with your local school but don’t know where to start, please connect with your local Tennis Victoria representative.
Also, congratulations to Enzo Aguiard, who is one of our talented Victorians ready to make the journey across the United States of America to play College Tennis later in 2021.
And lastly, if you are in Regional Victoria, make sure you keep a look out for some buses and signs to encourage your local area to Play Tennis!
Thank you to Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club and Central Wimmera Tennis Association who have sent in these photos:
If we can ever assist you, especially in these uncertain times, please reach out to your Tennis Victoria representative.
