Tennis Victoria are delighted to announce the state teams representing Victoria at the 2021 Australian Teams Championships starting on Friday in Carrara, Queensland.
Representative teams from all Australian States and Territories and New Zealand will descend on the Gold Coast for the highest representative event for Victorian junior tennis players in the 11/u, 13/u and 15/u age groups.
The 11/u and 13/u championships commence on Friday, followed by the 15/u championships beginning next Thursday July 1.
Players have been selected based on results from a combination of both their Australian Ranking (AR) and their Universal Tennis Rating (UTR).
Tennis Victoria’s Player Pathways Lead, Andrew Reynolds, was thrilled to announce the Victorian teams and rewarding players for their impressive performances to date.
“All players representing Victoria in the Australian Teams Championships should be extremely proud,” Reynolds said.
“These players are not only selected on their results, but also on their commitment to the sport across 12 months of the year. It will be a wonderful team experience and we wish everyone a successful trip to Queensland and a great event.”
Tennis Australia’s National Development Squad Coach, Performance – Victoria, Simon Rea, is looking forward to the championships in Queensland and high level competition for the Victorian juniors.
