30 June 2021 | Tennis Victoria
Congratulations to all players that have been selected as part of the 2021 Zone Squads in Regional Victoria.
Zone squads are an opportunity for coaching by TA staff and competitive practice and match play against the best up and coming kids in the three regional zones.
Tennis Victoria spoke to successful Bendigo Zone Squad representative, Isabella Crossman on her selection earlier this week:
TV: What does it mean to be selected for a Zone Squad?
IC: It is great to be recognized in my regional zone and have the opportunity to train with my peers and other qualified coaches.
TV: This is a large part of the Tennis pathway – How will this improve your tennis?
Practice and training is very important. So to do it with my peers and other coaches, I am very lucky. It will improve my tennis because of the match play, advice, guidance, coaching techniques given to me.
TV: Where do you hope this will lead you?
IC: I want to play on the circuit and all opportunities are important.
TV: How valuable is it to play with and against others talented players in Victoria that are on a similar path?
IC: It’s very important to play with and against my peers. It is great practice and a great way to see where others are travelling with their skills and game.
