As the 2022 Australian Open comes to a close, no doubt Melbourne Park is that little bit quieter without the Kids on Court and Cardio crews onsite.

With a few of the Tennis Victoria staff experiencing their first AO, it was an incredible achievement as forty-nine volunteers delivered one of the biggest activations of the year. That experience was bolstered by the ever-professional Tennis Australia staff (special thanks to Troy & Kayla), whose knowledge and flexibility throughout the two weeks was greatly appreciated by all involved.

And of course thank you to all the clubs, coaches and participants who made their way to Melbourne Park for the Kids on Court experience this year, we hope you left the precinct with that grand slam feeling!

Kids on Court Fast Facts:

·         49 staff volunteers

·         100+ coach deliverers

·         Nearly 1,300 Hot Shots participants & 100 Cardio participants

·         LOTS of t-shirts and caps handed out

·         Nine courts used across Melbourne Park, including the three showcourts

·         71 nets used each day

·         Four inclusion showcases (First Nations Day with Anglicare, Wheelies, PWII, and Blind & Low Vision) + dedicating the final day to all female coaches and participants to celebrate Women & Girls Day
