Tennis Victoria is thrilled to be involved with the Positive Start in 2022 initiative; providing additional camps, swimming programs, sports programs and cultural experiences to Victorian students from government or low-fee non-government schools in 2022.
The Victorian Government is investing $112.9 million in the Positive Start in 2022 initiative to help students be more active, reconnect with friends and find inspiration in new and exciting places.
Schools can now book a range of free arts, sporting and cultural activities for their students across Terms 1 – 4.
Tennis Victoria are excited to partner with the Department of Education and Training to offer a unique and wonderful Classroom to Court Program for Victorian students as part of the Positive Start in 2022 initiative.
Classroom to Court is a 4-week school-based program, aligned to curriculum and delivered by a local provider with the final week being a fun, welcoming and inclusive event at your local tennis club.
With one program being for 1 class of 30 students, schools can book in multiple programs to ensure no one misses out.
Sessions 1 – 3:
- 3 x 1 hour sessions at the school
- curriculum delivered program
- delivered by a local endorsed external qualified deliverer
- 3 dozen tennis balls for your school
Session 4:
- 2 hour club experience
- delivered by a local endorsed external qualified deliverer, covering;
- costs for transportation to the club
- costs of relief teacher for the session
- Club court hire
