Congratulations to Viewbank Tennis Club who are the Affiliate of the Month for August 2022.  

Viewbank have recently had great success with grant applications which are enabling them to provide safe and inclusive playing opportunities for their local community.  

Thanks to Banyule City Council, Viewbank received funding to deliver an LGBTQI+ event at the club. The Club has also received a Tennis Victoria ACE Grant to deliver a mental health event for youth in their community.  

Viewbank TC have recently discovered that a growing number of visitors to their club, as well as members, are people for whom English is a second language. To accommodate and ensure these participants feel welcome, the club are in the process of translating their monthly newsletter in to three different languages.  

The club also received grants from Kate Thwaites MP, their State representative, for a new defibrillator and further funding to run a club strategic planning day with ClubMap.  

Viewbank TC are the gold standard when it comes to grant writing, but they wouldn’t be successful without the innovative and inclusive activities that they are creating to support their community. The funding will allow Viewbank to continue to offer so much opportunity to people in the Banyule area.
