The Community Champion of the Month for August 2022 is one of Victoria’s dedicated tennis coaches, Nicole Bauer from Bionic Tennis Coaching based in the Wellington Shire at Longford, Seaspray and Stratford Tennis Clubs.  

While a passionate tennis coach on court, Nicole has also provided many off-court opportunities for her local community to help raise funds for Very Special Kids.  

Nicole delivered a week of superhero on court activities and hired the local RAAF base cinema for a private screening of King Richard for a family movie night to also engage the community off court.  

Nicole engaged with various community providers to support the events through raffle and silent auction prizes. Nicole organised all parts of the fundraiser from ticket sales, bus transport, the venue, fundraising and more. This is an annual event and Nicole is already busy planning the 2023 fundraiser.
