Mornington Tennis Centre, 3 October 2022 | Tennis Victoria
Congratulations Lynne Finch of Mornington Tennis Club who was awarded a Tennis Service Award on Sunday 2 October 2022.
In front of a crowd of over 100 for the Annual Awards day at the Mornington Tennis Centre, Lynne was presented with the Tennis Victoria award to recognise her commitment and dedication to tennis at Mornington Tennis Club and across the Peninsula.
Lynne is a long-term member of the Mornington Tennis Club, and also serving on the committee of the club for numerous years.
Lynne is the on the ground supervisor on Saturday Mornings for the Club’s Junior Competition – where she supervises matches, liaises with parents, and promotes the club and tennis to the community.
Lynne runs the canteen at all the club tournaments and events and raises money for the club by doing so. She continually goes out of her way to accommodate others including providing free meals to the officials at the event.
Lynne is listed as the Club Safety Officer and has dealt with all issues that arise at the club. There would not be one person that has coaching or is a member at Mornington that does not know Lynne. She does any job any one asks from fixing the windbreaks, to washing the club house windows. Lynne is the bones of the club and without Lynne the club would not be as successful as it is today. Lynne is also the club delegate for Peninsula Tennis Association.
Congratulations Lynne on all you have achieved and thank you for your contribution to Tennis in Victoria.
