The Koo Wee Rup Tennis Facility in the Cardinia Shire region comprises 4 Plexipave hardcourts, LED lighting, new fencing and the Book A Court system.

Since being renovated in mid-2019, the courts have been without regular use or a club that calls it home, with many describing it as an “elephant in the room”. Others saw it as an opportunity!

With a bit of outside-the-square thinking, and collaboration from the West Gippsland Tennis Association (WGTA), Cardinia Shire Council (CSC) and Tennis Victoria, a new Lease on the facility has been signed between the WGTA and CSC.

A new coach has been appointed to drive participation at the venue. Charlie Crawford from Best Practice Tennis will breathe new life into tennis in the region, connecting with local schools and the community to build an active, thriving tennis facility in the West Gippsland region.

It all kicks off with an Open Day Launch on Sunday 11 December at the Koo Wee Rup Tennis Centre, Cochranes Park, Rossiter Road, Koo Wee Rup VIC 3981.
