We wanted to provide an update in regards to Tournament Planner. On 1 February 2023, the 2022 version of Tournament Planner will expire.

To update Tournament Planner, please follow the steps below:

1. Save the attached license file to your computer (please note: you cannot open this file directly)
2. You can download the software from our website, be sure to select the “Tennis Tournament Planner” option: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/product/download.aspx?id=16&s=2&lg=366CD5BC-4035-47CF-882D-4DD38A04E9DE
3. Once the download has finished, you can start the installation
4. Install the software by following the instructions on your screen
5. After installation, start Tournament Planner
6. You can choose between ‘View demo’ and ‘Register’. Select ‘Register’ to register the software.
7. You will now be asked for the location of the license file saved in the first step
8. You will see a notification that you are now using the registered version of the software.

Community Series Endorsement

In the latest Tournament Planner update (2023) only endorsed events will be able to be published online.

What is Community Endorsement?

For events that are participation focused ranging from large Easter and Labour Day events to single day events or mutli-day events such as Club Championships, community endorsement is recommended.

 

How do I apply for endorsement?

Complete the online application form. Select Community Series

Is there any cost to Community endorsement?

For 2023 there will be no cost.

 

I’ve completed my application form. What’s next?

Once application is received by Tennis Victoria we will add the application into the tournament website software and then download the file and return to you. Please do not create your own TP File

Please note this process can take up to 5 business day so please ensure you complete your application in a timely manner and well in advance of your event being delivered.

If you have already created, published and opened entries for an event that you wish to be endorsed please send through a copy of your TP file so Tennis Victoria. We will then create your event in the system your new TP file and import the entries you have already received into the new TP file.

 

I’ve received my TP file from Tennis Victoria. What’s next?

Once you have received your TP file please check all the details are correct in the file and on the Factsheet. If the details are correct, you can now publish and link with stripe. Once you have linked with stripe you will be able to open your entries.

If any details are incorrect, please email [email protected] with the changes. Please don’t publish your file as we will have to update the application in the system and redownload your file.

 

If I don’t apply for endorsement, can I still use the software?

Yes, you will be able to continue to use Tournament Planner in an offline capacity.

If you are wanting to publish/run an event online via tournaments.tennis.com.au (for the purposes of taking entries, publishing draws and schedules etc.) after 1 February 2023, these events will need to be endorsed by Tennis Victoria. Once endorsed, Tennis Victoria will create and send you the file to restore and publish to the website. From here, you will be able to run the event as you have done previously.

 

What are the benefits of endorsement?

• Included on the Tennis Australia Endorsed calendar (greater promotion)
• Ability to make full use of TP functions including publishing the event online and accept online entries.
• Tennis Victoria software support
• Players results (as long as players have entered with their Competitive Player ID Number) will contribute to their UTR.
• Ability to import UTRs in Tournament Planner in near future

Why do players care?

• Player experience of accessing information online
• Consistent delivery of events
• Results feed through to UTR (all players will need to have their ID and contact details listed in the TP File)
• Players can see all the playing opportunities and decide where they want to play
