The Horsham Lawn TC will host Tennis Victoria’s Pat Cash Cup this February with the state’s young tennis stars ready to hit the grass courts in Victoria’s Central West.
The Pat Cash Cup is one of Tennis Victoria’s nine Regional Team Events played each calendar year.
The round robin tournament, which is open to Tennis Victoria’s country and metropolitan players, will see approx. 180 players compete over the last weekend in February.
The players compete in girls and boys events across four age groups – 12/u , 14/u, 16/u and 18/u.
Each round will consist of four singles matches and two mixed doubles matches for each age group.
Following round robin play on Saturday, the Pat Cash Cup concludes on Sunday when all finals will be played.
Tennis Victoria’s CEO, Adam Crameri, is excited for the opportunity that the Pat Cash Cup brings to young tennis players around Victoria.
“We wish everyone involved in the Pat Cash Cup all the very best for this weekend. This is a prestigious tennis event with a proud history.”
“Special thanks to Horsham Lawn Tennis Club and their volunteers for hosting the 2023 Pat Cash Cup, and to the Horsham Rural City Council for their support of this event.”
Mayor Robyn Gulline said Horsham was proud to be hosting the tournament.
“We welcome all players, their families and supporters to our regional city,” Cr Gulline said.
I would encourage everyone while they’re here to take some time between matches to check out our beautiful river and our great cafes and restaurants. Good luck to all competitors.”
