The ITF Melbourne Wheelchair Classic returns to Melbourne from 14 – 16 April with more junior entrants than ever before.

Twelve junior wheelchair tennis players will participate in the tournament, across the three days.

“This year’s tournament has the highest number of junior wheelchair participants that we have ever seen at an ITF Futures level before,” said Tournament Director Daniel O’Neill.

“This is reflective of the great role models we’ve had in the sport in recent times like Dylan Alcott, Heath Davidson and Ben Weekes. Their success has inspired a noticeable amount of junior players to join the sport.”

“The tournament will also be played on clay courts for the first time ever, which will be a great lead in for our players headed to Europe for tournaments on the clay courts.”

The ITF event will see Men, Women and Juniors compete on court.
