Congratulations to Maree Thompson from Horsham Tennis Club on receiving a Tennis Victoria Service award!

“Our tennis club would be lost without Maree. She goes above and beyond to ensure the success of our tennis club. She is passionate about our junior development program and the results of this program are plain to see. We appreciate everything that she does for our tennis club”, Hailey Yorke, President of Horsham Tennis Club stated. 

Maree has been a committee member for approximately 20 years and during this time she has held multiple positions. Maree has been the Junior Coordinator for the last 6 years and was awarded life membership in 2021.

Maree has also contributed to the club through her role as the catering manager which she has had for many tournaments over the years as well as for the Inter-regional tournament hosted last year. 

Maree has also contributed to the club through her tennis. She is a great tennis player and has played in a number of premierships over the years including in our Pennant competition.

She is at the tennis club every Saturday morning to oversee our junior program and then plays tennis herself in our senior tennis competition in the afternoon.

Maree is a respected member of the tennis community and is appreciated for all her hard work over the years.
