20 April 2023 | Tennis Victoria

Message from the CEO: April

We have had a great month at Tennis Victoria on and off the court. We are proud to have launched our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2023. Since 2018, we have had a great partnership with Anglicare Victoria’s Aboriginal Youth Leadership Academy, Buldau Yioohgen. Our RAP was launched alongside Anglicare Victoria and Buldau Yioohgen, with the purpose of creating safe and inclusive opportunities for all to participate in tennis, on and off the court.

We will be taking an active role and responsibility in reconciliation and the work that will go into the RAP. You will continue to see this through our work as it is part of what we do within our organisation. For more information on our RAP, click here

Congratulations to all our clubs and event providers that have delivered events over the Easter and school holiday period. Whilst there have been some challenges with the inclement weather, the participation numbers have been fantastic. As we look ahead, we’re excited to have over 400 teams participate in TV Pennant commencing this coming weekend, there has been great feedback on the changes for 2023 and the introduction of State Grade.

We’re looking forward to the Thriving Tennis tour, which will begin on April 30 in Geelong, and moving across the state to Bendigo, Shepparton, Traralgon and Melbourne.

We’re excited to announce our special guest speaker and experience provider expert, Andrew O’Loughlin. He will be joining us along the tour at each stop. You’ll have the opportunity to hear from Andrew from his 25 years of experience and knowledge in designing and delivering global and local events.

During the Thriving Tennis Tour, you’ll have the opportunity to network with people from other associations, clubs, coaches and event providers, and chat to our Tennis Victoria staff. There will be a whole array of sessions over the course of the day to suit everyone. All information, event agendas and links to register are available on our website.

As always please reach out to your local Tennis Victoria representative on how we can continue to support you.

Until next time,

Adam Crameri
