State Grade (Round 2 Men and Round 3 Women) was in full swing this weekend!

MEN:

Fawkner continued their hot start to the season with a dominant 6 rubbers to 0 win over Eildon Park. Headlined by the inclusion of Thomas Fancutt, they sit top of the ladder after Round 2.

Kooyong Lawn sit second, with Omar Jasika, Jacob Grills and Andrew Whittington inspiring the side to a 6 rubbers to 0 win over Tennis World.

MCC Glen Iris Valley were too strong for Grace Park Hawthorn winning 5 rubbers to 1, and Royal South Yarra picked up their first win of the campaign with a 4 rubbers to 2 victory over North Ringwood.

WOMEN:

Diggers Rest again proved they are a team to watch in 2023, with a big 6 rubbers to 0 win over Beaumaris leaving them top after Round 3.

The other two matches were nailbiters, with both finishing 3 rubbers apiece.

Kooyong defeated the previously unbeaten Grace Park Hawthorn by just four games after being level on rubbers and sets, and Harkaway were triumphant against Royal South Yarra by 7 sets to 5.

Kooyong 3-6-60 defeated Grace Park 3-6-56

Harkaway 3-7-63 defeated Royal South Yarra 3-5-51

Diggers Rest 6-12-73 defeated Beaumaris 0-0-30
