Congratulations to the September Affiliate of the Month, Montmorency Tennis Club.  

Early in 2023 the Montmorency Tennis Club received an ACE Grant from Tennis Victoria to deliver a program at the club for a nearby adult day services program – mostly targeted towards people with an intellectual disability. The program is underway with great attendance every week.  

Montmorency TCs coach Nathan Hude is leading the program on court with valuable support from club committee volunteers each week.  

The initiative’s success has seen management of the day services program request for it to continue in 2024. To assist with the sustainability of the program they are looking to contribute financially and through in-kind assistance such as regular groundskeeping and manual work; an opportunity for their clients to have jobs to do.  

This partnership is an incredible endorsement for the tennis club and the program and highlights a great example of ‘outside-the-box’ thinking for a positive outcome for all involved.
