Congratulations to Rowen D’Souza, the Community Champion of the Month for January 2024!

Rowen is the President and CEO of the Gay & Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA). A keen tennis player himself, he started his volunteering journey over 8 years ago with Victennis, one of the longest standing LGBTIQ+ sporting clubs in Victoria.

Across the years, Rowen has supported the introduction of Pride Tennis events and tournaments all across Victoria, and has been a key player in the addition of the Glam Slam to the calendar during the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.

This year, Rowen has led the delivery of the GLTA World Championships at Royal Park Tennis Club. The first time the event has come to Melbourne.
