Congratulations to Fiona Wilson from Belvedere Park Tennis Club and Peninsula Tennis Association who has been recognised for her contribution to tennis with a Tennis Service Award. A Tennis Service Award is an award to recognise those who have demonstrated their long-term volunteer contribution to the sport of tennis in Victoria through significant service to a Tennis Victoria affiliated Club or Association.
Fiona Wilson is the Belvedere Park Tennis Club. She doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty and will take on additional roles as needed. Currently the Treasurer of the club, Fiona has also been the Junior Coordinator and involved in Mid-Week Ladies Grading. At the Peninsula Tennis Association she holds roles in Grading and Junior Final presentations.
A Life Member of the Belvedere Park Tennis Club, Fiona has been the Treasurer since 2002 and has also held roles in mid-week ladies grading and as Junior Coordinator. She also undertakes the court maintenance, and the courts are the best on the Peninsula – as voted by other clubs!
Fiona undertook the negotiations with Council over many years to secure new lights for the tennis club which are finally installed.
Described as wonderful, kind, and enthusiastic; this Tennis Service Award is another recognition of Fiona’s outstanding contribution to tennis. Congratulations Fiona!
