Congratulations to Marilyn Bunting from Liston Tennis Club who is the Community Champion of the Month for May 2024.
Marilyn has been a leader in identifying the needs of both women and the older members of the Liston Tennis Club following the COVID period. This has included voicing the need to provide alternative options for remaining active and present at the club which resulted in the introduction of a trial Pickleball program.
Marilyn has long term relationships with the local community. She loves tennis and has promoted Pickleball as a way for participants to stay involved for longer. It has also brought together players of all ages with eight year olds and playing their parents and grandparents.
Marilyn has been a long-term committee member at Liston Tennis Club. She has held the role of Secretary and is currently the Vice President. Marilyn was awarded Life Membership of the Liston Tennis Club in 2018.
With the club’s 100 year celebration coming up in 2026, Marilyn is busy assisting on coordinating the clubs celebrations.
