We are excited to announce the finalists for the 2024 Tennis Victoria Player Awards.

The Tennis Victoria Player Awards are coming up on Sunday 20 October at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, where we will celebrate the top-performing players, from Tennis Victoria Pennant through to the international stage.

Among the finalists for the Victoria Player of the Year are Arina Rodionova, Daria Saville and John Peers who have all had impressive years on the professional tour.

Rodionova extended her ITF success with victories in Lousada Portugal, Edmonton Canada and Trnava Slovakia, and proudly represented Australia in the Billie Jean Cup Qualifiers.

Saville made a strong comeback after injury, returning to the Grand Slam stage at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon, and also represented Australia at the Billie Jean Cup Qualifiers and the Paris Olympics.

Peers continued his impressive form on the doubles circuit, highlighted by his selection in the Australian Olympic team and his Gold Medal win with Matt Ebden.

Tennis Victoria CEO, Kim Kachel expressed his anticipation for the event:

“These awards are a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the extraordinary achievements of our players. It’s a testament to the strength and depth of Victorian tennis and we’re proud to celebrate the dedication and talent of everyone involved in our community.”

In addition to the Player of the Year award, we will also recognise top-performing juniors, seniors and athletes with a disability, showcasing the diverse talent within our tennis community.

The Coaching Excellence – Development award will be presented to honour the crucial role coaches play in the development and success of our athletes.

The Tennis Victoria Pennant Player of the Year awards across all grades will be announced, recognising the best-performing players in Tennis Victoria Pennant from State Grade through to Grade 11.
