Victoria’s own Carla Lenarduzzi to represent Australia at the 2024 Virtus World Tennis Championships!

Congratulations to Carla Lenarduzzi who will join Australia’s top tennis players with an intellectual impairment (PWII) as they compete at the Virtus World Tennis Championships in Annecy, France from 7 to 15 September.

Carla is part of a 12-player squad that will compete against some of the world’s best tennis players with intellectual impairments (PWII). Under the guidance of Head Coach Alison Scott, Carla and the team are well prepared to tackle the challenges ahead. Carla herself saw great success at the 2023 Virtus Global Games in France claiming the Bronze: II-1 women’s doubles and the Bronze: II-1 women’s team.

The Virtus World Tennis Championship is a significant event on the international calendar, offering PWII athletes such as Carla a platform to compete at the highest level. This year, with an increased number of competitors, the tournament promises to be a real hit! The Australian team, known for its strong performance in international competitions, is ready to face the growing field of competitors from around the globe.

Victoria will be watching closely as Carla takes to the court, hoping for a strong showing in France.
