The past few weeks have been nothing short of remarkable for Victorian tennis. Talented players across various age groups have seized the opportunity to showcase their skills during an exciting period of competition. Giving their all on the court, their hard work and passion for the sport are beginning to pay off in impressive ways.
This leaderboard marks the final update as we shift focus to the highly anticipated Victorian State Masters. Speaking on this occasion, Tennis Victoria CEO Kim Kachel was all praises for our players.
“The release of the Junior Tour leaderboards reflects the incredible talent and dedication of our young Victorian athletes. It’s excellent to see their hard work translate into impressive results and the future of Victorian tennis looks very bright. We are immensely proud of their achievements and grateful for the role private coaches, families, and clubs play in nurturing their development,” he said.
Kim further commended some of the more recent victories our players have had at the Australian Hardcourt Championships. “A special congratulations to Novak Palombo [private coach – George Vogiatzis] and Raphael Savelli [private coach – Aaron Leeder-Chard / Des Tyson] on winning the Boys’ 12/u and 14/u singles titles at the hardcourt Nationals in Adelaide recently. Likewise, Ana Maric [private coach – Andrea Stoltenberg] who was runner-up in the 12/u girls singles. These rankings highlight not just individual success, but the strength of our entire tennis community in Victoria.”
