The 2024 12/u and 14/u Australian Junior Tour Finals took place last weekend at Sydney Olympic Park, showcasing top young talent from across Australia. In a thrilling conclusion, singles winners earned the inaugural Alex De Minaur Junior Tour Scholarship. Alex De Minaur himself expressed excitement to meet these rising stars and personally congratulate them on their amazing tennis achievements.
Reflecting on the experience, 12/u Singles and 12/u Doubles winner, Novak Palombo said the “Junior Tour Finals was a fantastic tournament to end the year. I got to reconnect with so many of my tennis friends and had so much fun competing in both the singles and doubles draws. The Alex De Minaur scholarship was an extra motivator to do well, as he is one of my favourite tennis players, and I am looking forward to learning from him. Now, I’m off to Florida to play at the IMG Juniors and Orange Bowl – with the amazing Tennis Australia team and fellow players for another round of learning experiences and hopefully some wins!”
