Romsey Tennis Club, nestled in the Macedon Ranges, is Tennis Victoria’s Affiliate of the Month for January, thanks to their incredible dedication to sustainability and community involvement. Late last year, Tennis Victoria partnered with the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) Victoria for an exciting competition, inviting tennis clubs across the state to participate in the ultimate recycling competition. With amazing prizes on the line, including tickets to the Australian Open, the competition inspired clubs to make a positive environmental impact—and Romsey Tennis Club emerged victorious.

The CDS provided the framework for this statewide challenge. Clubs collected and returned thousands of recyclable containers, raising funds for their clubs whilst championing sustainability. Among the many impressive participants, Romsey Tennis Club stood out as both the Regional Winner for the Country West division and the overall State Winner.

Romsey’s commitment to environmental responsibility and community spirit truly set them apart. Their outstanding efforts not only help to support a greener future but also showcased the power of collective action.
