Style, spirit and some tennis on the side!

At Country Week, it’s not just about how you play – it’s about how you show up. Every year, teams go the extra mile to bring their fashion A-game, turning the grass courts into a runway of bold colours, retro throwbacks, matching kits, and creative costumes.

From classic whites to coordinated themes, these players prove that looking the part is just as important as hitting winners. Whether it’s for team pride, tradition, or just a bit of fun, one thing’s for sure – fashion is part of the Country Week experience.

Here are some of the best-dressed teams of 2025, who came to play and looked good doing it!

Sunny Side Up

February 10: Day 1 Sunnyside Up from QLD. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • This is their fifth year at Country Week
  • They have travelled all the way from Brisbane. This year they flew to Melbourne, hired a car and then drove to Swan Hil
  • All staying together, sharing rooms like camp!
  • For them it is all about the outfits – but they do want to do well too
  • They bought Marimekko printed dresses and decided they had to change their team’s name to match. The flower pattern on the dresses looks like eggs and they are from sunny Queensland – it was meant to be!

Mid Court Crisis

February 10: Day 1 MCC Mid Court Crisis from Melbourne. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • Between the four team members, they have played a total of 18 Country Weeks
  • Fashion but tactics – the team comprises of two people who love playing nets and two that love playing baseline
  • They figured with this combo, they had to name themselves Mid Court Crisis
  • Dressed to impress, they love the social side of Country Week and playing tennis makes it even better
  • Goal this year is to survive until the end of the week and not embarrass themselves – how could they dressed like this!

Beer Builds Better Bodies

February 10: Day 1 Beer Builds Better Bodies from Bendigo. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • The whole team’s first year at Country Week
  • Had booked Country Week long before figuring out what the team might be called and what their uniform could be
  • The team found a small towel on the ground after coaching at the Aus Champs
  • Said towel had the text, ‘Beer Builds Better Bodies’ printed on it. After some research, they found it to be a vintage brand
  • Today the towel has been repurposed into a team flag and is said to be their lucky mascot
  • The team of youngsters is here for a fun, enjoying their time having a good hit and making the most of the social side to the tournament too!

Bathurst Burritos

February 11: Day 2 Bathurst Burritos from Bathurst. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • Various years of Country Week service among them
  • The boys are just as committed to the look as they are the competition, striving to be the best dressed
  • Their team name changes each year and with it, their outfits. They like to stick to alliteration, so Bubble-O Bills and Bananas have been previous themes
  • The Burrito theme this year saw custom shirts paired with tortilla printed hats to finish the look

When The Aperol Hitz

February 11: Day 2 When the Aperol Hitz from Wandana. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • A young team with ages ranging from 21 – 26 years, they know what is in style with 3 years of Country Week under their belt
  • Whilst this team name can be credited to one of their mums, their t-shirts are designed in-house!
  • Accessories matter too – the whole team is decked out in matching sunglasses
  • And what is a team without a mascot? Deisel the (toy) dog can be seen in a matching orange collar
  • The team are loud and proud, both in their fashion – sporting orange and purple this year, and in their presence – referring to their tenacity on court

Rochy 3561

February 11: Day 2 Rochester 3561. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • Involved in Country Week for over 20 years
  • Sporting a retro style, the teams signature look is a turquoise terry towelling Diadora set
  • The outfits have been through it, originally having a teams set, a few have been lost throughout the years. With only 3 remaining, you might say these outfits are now vintage!
  • Tradition is everything, the team has not strayed – on and off the court. Same fits, same routine each year, meeting up with everyone, the fun and social is what they love

Beavers

February 11: Day 2 Boo Bee Beavers from Ballarat. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • 4 members of the team have been to 26 Country Weeks and are part of the original 4. The other three members have still had a long run with 14 Country Weeks attended
  • All about the look – changing their theme each year with the past themes such as polka and shinny – this year sporting bees!
  • Don’t forget the details, they have gone above and ‘bee’-yond committing to the fits with matching bee bags, socks, keychains, earrings, nails and towels
  • Marion takes on the creative director role, deciding on a theme each year, sourcing the items and ensuring uniform across the team

Ragers

February 12: Day 3 Ragers Inc from the Macedon Ranges. Tennis Victoria Country Week Swan Hill

  • With the back of their tops serving as a reminder to other teams of their Gilchrist Pearce Award in 2024, this group has some fierce fits
  • One member was in charge of stubby holders and one in charge of the shirts. Without consultation, they both selected the same winning photo from last year – safe to say their creative vision was aligned
  • There is further meaning behind these fits. Two team members’ father, Eric Salter, inducted as a Country Week Legend in 2020 passed before attending the 2022 tournament
  • The team was named Eric’s Angels the year he passed and have since kept the wings in their shirt design to honour him
