Riddell’s Creek Tennis Club’s Greg Wood has been recognised for his exceptional dedication and contribution to tennis when he was presented with a Tennis Service Award on Tuesday 11 February. The award was presented by Tennis Victoria Board Director Fiona Walker.

For the past decade, Greg has served as Treasurer of Riddells Creek Tennis Club, making him the longest-standing member of the current committee. His leadership has been instrumental in ensuring the club’s financial stability, providing sound financial advice, and implementing strong governance processes. Thanks to his efforts, the club remains in a strong position for the future.

Beyond his financial stewardship, Greg has played a key role in the club’s growth. He actively supported fundraising initiatives and social events, while also contributing to the successful implementation of three new tennis courts, completed in 2020. His commitment to improving club facilities has left a lasting impact.

Greg’s dedication extends to on court, where he has captained teams and competed in the Macedon Ranges Tennis Association Thursday Night competition. Known for his sportsmanship and leadership, he sets an outstanding example for his teammates and fellow competitors.

In recognition of his tireless service, Greg was awarded Life Membership of the club in 2024. This Tennis Service Award is yet another well-earned acknowledgment of his invaluable contributions to the Riddells Creek Tennis Club.
