This month, we are thrilled to recognise Swan Hill Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club as our Affiliate of the Month! February has been nothing short of monumental for the club, volunteers and the wider Swan Hill community, as they successfully hosted Tennis Victoria Country Week—a true highlight of the Victorian tennis calendar.

An event of this magnitude is not possible without an amazing venue and workforce. From the 96 immaculate grass courts to the hospitality provided to players and spectators, the tireless efforts of over 40 volunteers does not go unnoticed. Their hard work, passion, and commitment, whether it was making rolls, serving drinks, driving the drink cart around the facility, or cleaning and restocking amenities, every little bit plays a part in making a memorable event for participants.

The team of volunteers, led by President Christian Devlin delivered the welcome night dinner for over 600 players, provided food and beverage across the five days of the tournament and a BBQ dinner on the last night for over 200 – an enormous number of volunteer hours.

The clubs preparation for Country Week commences months in advance to have the facility and the temporary courts ready for play at the world’s largest grass court tournament (as declared by us). Country Week Legend and Swan Hill curator Daniel Gardner again delivered world class courts for competitors to enjoy.
