Champion of Champions

The Champion of Champions presented by Grants Car Stereo returns to the magnificent grass courts of Cottesloe Tennis Club.  As one of the most prestigious events on the Tennis West Calendar, champions from each affiliated tennis club will compete against each other in a knockout battle for Club bragging rights.

Commencing in 1964, the inaugural winners were Dorothy Whitely (Lee) and Brian Bowman. Multiple past winners of the Champion of Champions include Christine Matison (Dorey), Paula Parentich, Gary Penberthy and Rob Casey.

Singles players and doubles pairs earn the right to represent their club at the Champion of Champions by winning their respective Club Singles and/or Doubles titles.  Should a club not be able to determine its representatives through club championships, that club may nominate its preferred male and female players.

New for 2025:

  • Prizemoney for Division 2 Men & Women Singles. (Please see below)
  • Men’s & Women’s Doubles now Round Robin format.
  • Mixed Doubles and prizemoney.
  • Entry open to regional club representatives.
  • Clubs may nominate up to two players (or two pairs) for each event.
  • All representative players are required to wear club playing uniform.
  • Clubs are encouraged to fly their club flag or banner during the event.

Winners of all singles events will receive a commemorative plaque to be displayed at their club.
