Tennis West once again held the 2011 Volunteers Night at the State Tennis Centre on Friday 29 April, a way to recognise all the volunteers who donate their time, knowledge and skill to this great game. With over 250 attending, along with a number of activities throughout the evening, the event was sure to be fun filled!
Falling on the same night as the Royal Wedding, there were a number of games including the best Royal Guest Name (a combination of a grand parent’s name, pets name and street name)…won by ‘Lady Henrietta Maple Windsor,
along with the very popular ‘locked treasure chest’. To which all attendees were given a key. The lucky winner, Diane Warburton from the Upper Great Southern Zone won a trip for two to the 2012 Australian Open, complimentary of Motive Travel.
It was wonderful to have so many of our valued volunteers come along and share the evening, and we look forward to a bigger and better event next year!
Thank you again for all your dedication throughout the year; it is no myth that without your contribution our great game could not survive and thrive.
