The D’Arcy Slater Foundation – 2011South West Road show took place from the 16-19 May. Just shy of 400 students from Australind, Margaret River, Yallingup, Karridale, Augusta, Bridgetown and Boyup Brook Primary Schools experienced introductions to Tennis Australia’s kids starter program, MLC Tennis Hot Shots Clinics.

The schools were then equipped with an MLC Tennis Hot Shots kit, to ensure lasting benefits in the region.

It’s always great to get on the road and introduce the Hot Shots program to regional WA kids. They always seem to pick it up really well and enjoy getting involved” commented Brooke Koenig, Community Tennis Manager.

“This is the first time I’ve been involved with a road show to the South West, and I hope this is not my last. The kids were fantastic and it’s obvious to see that sport really is the fabric of the community in many of the regional towns” Paul Oldfied, Community Tennis Officer.
