The Australian tennis community will unite on 5 December for the 2011 Newcombe Medal, Australian Tennis Awards at the Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne.

This gala occasion recognises service to tennis at all levels – club, coaches, volunteers, community, officials and players, bringing all together for a night of celebration.

The night culminates with the presentation of the Newcombe Medal, named in honour of Australian tennis legend John Newcombe, and awarded to Australia’s most elite player. World No.10 Samantha Stosur won the inaugural Newcombe Medal in 2010.

The tennis community loves a party and this year dynamic performer Guy Sebastian heads the entertainment line-up.
