Australian Open is set to sizzle with 7 Aussies due to set battle on day one of play.

Casey Dellacqua will be the sole sandgroper on the 1st day of play with Bojana Bobusic and Matt Ebden launching their Open campaign on Tuesday.

Dellacqua is up first on Margaret Court Arena where she’ll meet Serbian born Bojana Jovanovski.

Other Australian’s in action include Kooyong International champion Bernard Tomic taking on popular Spanish star, Fernando Verdasco. A diffiult first round for both inform players, with Tomic taking some confidence from his win at Kooyong this morning. “To have those matches under my belt, to win them all is great. I know I played them all in three sets. It’s better to win in three. I played long matches, longer hours,” he said. 

Anastasia Rodionova will face off against World Number 1 Caroline Wozniacki; Greg Jones against Alexandr Dolgopolov; pocket rocket Ashleigh Barty will verse Anna Tatishvili; Ben Mitchell against big man, John Isner; and finaly Olivia Rogowska against Sofia Arvidsson.
