Matt Ebden’s dream run at Indian Wells today fell short after he was knocked out of the fourth round by larger than life American, John Isner.

The Wembley Down’s adopted son went down in two competitive sets 6-4, 7-5 after upsetting number 8 Mardy Fish in the 3rd round just 2 days prior.

“John is playing some great tennis at the moment. It came down to a few points and it didn’t quite fall my way.”

“All credit to John and I wish him all the best for the rest of the tournament.” Ebden stated online.

The 24 year old has had a stellar season thus far, with his current ranking at No. 91 in the world, this is set to rise in the coming weeks.

Ebden will play in Miami next week.
