World No.6 and 2010 French Open finalist Samantha Stosur leads the charge, with [70] Jarmila Gajdosova, [101] Anastasia Rodionova, [107] Casey Dellacqua, [32] Bernard Tomic and [69] Matt Ebden all in contention. Former World No.1 Lleyton Hewitt is on the comeback trail from injury and has been awarded Tennis Australia’s reciprocal wildcard into the event, as has talented 16-year-old Ashleigh Barty, one of only two 16-year-olds with WTA rankings in the top 330.
