Nikolai Davydenko of Russia has advanced to the second round of the Open de Nice Cote d’Azur by defeating Wembley Downs Matthew Ebden 6:3, 6:3.

Davydenko will now face the winner of the Denis Istomin (Uzbekistan) and Alejandro Falla (Colombia) match.

The tournament’s prize fund is nearly € 400,000.
