The State Tennis Centre played host to the Annual Indigenous Interschool Tennis Challenge on 13th March, 2013. The four schools competing for the 2013 perpetual trophy were Clayton View Primary School, Queens Park Primary School and two schools from Northam: Avonvale Primary School and West Northam Primary School. 60 children came to represent and compete for their schools.
Tennis West, with the financial support of Tennis Australia and Healthway, would like to extend a huge congratulations to all 4 teams that competed but more so to Avonvale Primary School who clenched victory with Clayton View taking home the Runners Up silver plate.
All participants were treated to a sausage sizzle after the tournament and all received a tennis racquet and ball. Overall, the event was an overwhelming success and an enjoyable experience for all those involved.
