Nominations are invited for the WA Volunteer 50 Years of Service Badge which acknowledges long-serving volunteers who have contributed 50-years or more of volunteer service to one organisation.

Volunteers who have contributed 50 years or more to a specific group, club, community organisation and local or state government, are eligible to be nominated by their organisation.

Nominations for the badge can be submitted at any time throughout the year and official presentations are held in December on Thank a Volunteer Day.

If you choose to have your badge presented at this year’s Thank a Volunteer Day (5 December 2013), nominations must be submitted to the Department for Communities and received by 12.00pm (noon) Tuesday 1 October 2013.

Alternatively, arrangements can be made to have the badge presented to volunteers at another time by a Member of Parliament or the nominating organisation.

The WA Volunteer 50 Years of Service Badge is coordinated by the Department for Communities.
