With the Hyundai Hopman Cup only four months away, the State Tennis Centre played host to the Level 1 and Level 2 ball kid trials.
180 children from across WA tried out for their spot on centre court alongside the world’s best.
The number of families that committed to attending on both days was a great reflection on how much they wish to be involved in the event. The kids all had fun whilst demonstrating their skills on and off the court and left with a sense of accomplishment. We know that those that are selected have not only earned their spot, but are committed and excited to be part of the team.
From the 180 ball kids that tried out, the final team will comprise of 66 Hyundai Hopman Cup ball kids. These children have been notified and the five training sessions will commence in October.
