WA’s Zach Itzstein secured the WA Open men’s title by defeating WA National Academy player, Dom Bechard. The women’s winner was Zuzana Zlochova from Slovak Republic, who defeated Thailand’s Katherine Westbury in the final. Sam Ashenden and Joel Pleydell took out the men’s doubles title and Anja Dokic and Megan Kauffman took out the women’s doubles title.
Zach and Zuzana have joined legends on the WA Open honour board, including Lleyton Hewitt, Fred Stolle, Wayne Arthurs and Margaret Court, only to name a few!
