This year is the centenary of the Bassendean Tennis Club, formerly the “West Guildford Tennis Club” which was opened in 1913.
To celebrate, Bassendean Tennis Club is having an OPEN DAY on Sunday the 3rd November starting at 1pm. This will include an afternoon of events with an ‘exhibition match’ of people dressed in period costume playing with wooden tennis racquets, a traditional afternoon tea, displays of photos of the club ‘then and now’, and a schools’ poster competition. There will also be tennis for everyone, whatever your skill level.
All past Club members are invited to the event. Anyone interested in helping celebrate the centenary is welcome and particularly potential members who would like to try the facilities and find out about playing social or competitive tennis in Bassendean in the future.
