Jelena Dokic and State League Juniors with the Australian Open Trophies

The Brikmakers State League Blockbuster was held at the State Tennis Centre on Sunday 20th of October. The day officially opened the Brikmakers State League Summer Season, with both junior and senior state league teams competing in round one.

The State League Most Valuable Player awards were presented to Shona Lee, who won the women’s MVP and Miles Armstrong who won the men’s MVP. Tennis West would like to congratulate all MVPs on a great season. To view the list of MVP juniors please click here and for the MVP seniors, please click here.

Coinciding with the Brikmakers Blockbuster was the AO Blitz, a National competition where anyone can score points and prizes simply by picking up a racquet. The AO Blitz team conducted Cardio and MLC Hot Shots competitions where spot prizes of tennis racquets, wrist bands, drink bottles and plenty more were awarded. The Australian Open trophies were also available for photos and there was a special guest appearance by none other than Jelena Dokic.

The event was a fantastic success and Tennis West would like to thank Brikmakers for their ongoing sponsorship of Australia’s largest Tennis League competition.
