Anja Dokic won the Girls singles 16 and under National Championship at the December Showdown over the weekend. The win comes with a wildcard into the group 1 ITF in Victoria along with a wildcard into the Australia Open junior girls singles event. Anja also won the Girls doubles 16 and under National Championships with Megan Kaufmann ( WA State Academy). These two results in addition to Maddison Inglis winning the Girls singles 18 and under Nationals are a fantastic outcome for the player development programs in place at the State Tennis Centre.

WA juniors had one the strongest showings at this year’s December Showdown National Championships. The final results for WA players include:

18’s Girls Singles
Winner – Madison Inglis (WA) Earns a wildcard into qualifying at the AO Women’s event

16’s Girls Singles
Winner – Anja Dokic (WA) Earns a Wildcard into the Main Draw of the Australian Open juniors event

16’s Girls Doubles
Winners – Anja Dokic & Meghan Kauffman (WA)

16’s Boys Doubles
Winner- Dominic Bechard (WA) & Max Purcell

14’s Boys Singles
Finalist- Louis Corker (WA)

12’s Boys Doubles
Winners- Tristan Schoolkate & William Hann (WA)
