Club Health Check submissions for the 2012/2013 financial year close on 31st March 2014.

All clubs that complete the Club Health Check prior to the closing date will receive an Australian Open towel (valued at $59) for their club, as well as an Australian Open towel for the individual who completed the survey.

Club Health Checks are a useful tool that enables clubs to benchmark the performance of their tennis facility against other similar clubs. Following the closing date, all clubs that complete the Club Health Check will receive individual results and a bulletin outlining national averages.

Tennis West strongly encourages clubs to complete the survey, in order to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Benchmarking can contribute to the business and action planning process, which will help improve management, and can provide the club with leverage for stakeholder assistance.

In order to accurately complete the Club Health Check, clubs will require the following information:

  • Detailed profit loss statement (2012/2013)
  • Total membership numbers
  • Coaching participant numbers per week
  • Total number of players per week (excluding coaching)
  • Operating/opening hours
  • Weekly court booking sheet from 2012/2013 or knowledge of weekly court usage, in particular:

    • Average weekly coaching hours

    • Average of weekly casual court hire hours
