National Academy athlete Scott Jones has won his first Junior ITF singles title at the 2014 Technifibre Tennis Central Championships in Wellington, New Zealand. Scott defeated fellow Australian and number one seed – Jake Delaney on route to the final before defeating Queenslander Mitchell Harper in the final. Scott’s ranking has risen to number 357 in the world following the result.

Jack Lyttle had an impressive run to the semi final in Wellington after defeating the second seed from New Zealand – Kyle butters. Jack fell short in the semi final losing to Mitchell Harper.

Fellow National Academy athlete Maddison Inglis travelled to Auckland, New Zealand last week to participate in the Grade 3 NZ ITF Summer Championships. Maddison had a strong week in the singles finishing runner-up to Victorian Destanee Aiava.
