Brixton

After a successful Summer, 17 junior players at Brixton Street Tennis Centre gained Australian Ranking points. Rafe Bonini, Alex Downey, Askin Arslan and Crystal Mildwaters won multiple singles events over the Summer while Oh Skinner, Sam De Andrade and Vincianne De Andrade posted their first singles tournament wins. In addition a number of the players enjoyed wins in doubles including Arden DeMelo, Talia Gibson, Oh Skinner, Casey Tay, Luca Bonini, Daniel and Alex Downey.

The Brixton Team had one particularly successful week. At Midland, 13 of 31 finals were contested by one or more players from Brixton Street. During the same week Ethan Cook and Talia Gibson were at the Australian Open contesting the Super 10’s National Finals. Ethan Cook was awarded one of the 6 Outstanding Player awards and Talia teamed with Lauren Nikoloski to be undefeated in doubles.

As a result of the summer competition the State Rankings for the Brixton juniors in their respective age groups at the end of January were as follows:
