The State Tennis Centre played host to the Annual Harmony Day Interschool Tennis Challenge on 12th March, 2014. Numbers were unfortunately low this year with only two Northam schools accepting the invitation to attend. These schools were; Avonvale Primary School and West Northam Primary School. A total of 28 students came to represent and compete for their school.

Tennis West, with the financial support of Tennis Australia and Healthway, would like to congratulate Avonvale Primary School, who lifted the perpetual trophy for the second consecutive year with West Northam Primary School taking home the Runners-Up Silver plate.

Tennis Australia’s National Indigenous Coach, Ian Goolagong, attended the event and presented each student with an MLC Tennis Hot Shots racquet. Overall, the event was a success and an enjoyable occasion for all those involved.
