The Medibank Junior Development Series (MJDS) is a group of tournaments for beginner to immediate players. The MJDS is designed to give players their first experience in playing a series of tournaments throughout the year. The MJDS does not offer Australian Ranking Points, it maintains a development focus. The dates and venues we have scheduled are as follows:

AGE ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility is based on a player’s age the last day of the month of each tournament. i.e: tournament date is set for June 30th – July 1st. A player entering the 10 /u must still be 10 as of the 31st of July.
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: Only players who have acquired a Member I.D. Number are permitted to enter. These can be obtained by contacting Tennis West on 6462 8300 between the hours of 8.30 and 8pm Monday to Friday or 9am and 1pm Saturday and Sunday (excluding public holidays).
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: Players must enter via the online entry system http://tournaments.tennis.com.au .First time participants will need to click on the entry link and set up a player profile which will include their Member I.D Number. Entries will close on Monday midday (12pm) prior to the event or earlier should entries exceed court availability. A reserve list will be created for those players received after designated closing time should any withdrawals occur.
ENTRY FEES: $20 singles only. Entries for the Greenwood Tennis Club JDS # 1 are now opened. It is highly recommended to encourage any interested new players to tournaments to participate in as many of the Medibank Junior Series as possible.
Good Sport Awards
The awards are a chance for players to be recognized for their commitment and positive attitude towards tennis. It’s about having a go and feeling like a winner no matter how you perform. Anyone can nominate a JDS player, so please encourage family, friends and clubs to watch out for behavior that deserves recognition.
