The 2014 Women in Tennis Active Girls & D’Arcy Slater Boys Live In Camp was held in the July school holidays (11th – 13th July). There were twenty girls and twenty-one boys that participated in this year’s camp with participants coming from as far as Kununurra and Esperance to enjoy a weekend filled with coaching and plenty social activities. The accommodation for the camp was the Rotary Residential College in Victoria Park.
The participants spent plenty of time on court with their coaches, six hours over Saturday and Sunday, which meant the participants had the opportunity to really improve their game. The participants also took part in a mass format Cardio Tennis workout which involved pedometers that the kids loved.
